KeymasterVirat Kohli’s Test Centuries With Venues
Virat Kohli, the greatest batsman of the modern era, not only excelled in white-ball cricket but has shown his batting prowess in test cricket through his excellent batting technique, temperament, and perseverance. Having made his debut in 2011 against West Indies, the Delhite batter has accumulated 9202 runs in over 100 matches at 47.43. However, his unreal consistency from 2014 to 2020 in red-ball cricket saw him touch the 50-average mark. He scored centuries and a truckload of runs worldwide during this period, be it on the bouncy surface of Australia and South Africa or the swinging wicket of England and New Zealand to help India win many games single-handedly at home and overseas.
Kohli has slammed 30 centuries so far in his 13-year glorious career. However, sixteen out of thirty centuries have come outside India, which dictates his mettle in tough conditions. He has smacked seven hundreds alone in Australia, showing his proficiency in tricky Australian conditions and negating the threats from express fast bowlers like Mitchell Johnson, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, etc.
Kohli has also made seven double centuries as a skipper, the most by any captain in tests. If his form had not seen a slump post-2020, the 36-year-old would have added at least 2 more double centuries to his tally.
