KeymasterFedor Emelianenko’s UFC Record
Fedor Emelianenko is a former mixed martial artist and one of the best fighters of all time in the heavyweight division. The ace athlete and former combat sambo world champion featured in promotions like Ring, Pride Fighting Championship, M-1 Global, Dream, Affliction, Strikeforce, Bellator MMA, etc. Unfortunately, Fedor could not come to an agreement to sign a contract with the UFC. Hence, one of the greatest MMA fighters never got a chance to fight in the UFC.
Fedor Emelianenko’s MMA record reads a staggering 40-7. He won 16 fights via knockout, 15 via submission, and nine through decision. Only seven losses over 20 years speak volumes about his domination in the combat sport. He followed the sambo and judo styles to tackle the hurdles.
He embarked on his MMA journey in 2000 and won his first four fights before a debatable loss to Tsuyoshi Kohsaka. The 6 ft fighter was unbeaten in his next 28 fights until 2010 and his wins included four former UFC champions, one former and two future K-1 champions, and two Olympians. In 2012, he retired from the sport and became the president of the Russia MMA Union after defeating three-time UFC heavyweight title contender Pedro Rizzo in M-1.
After staying away from the game, in 2015, he made a comeback in competitive fights and signed a multi-fight contract with America-based Bellator MMA in 2016. In the final of the Bellator Heavyweight Championship in 2019, Emelianenko lost the fight to Ryan Bader via knockout within 35 seconds. He also fought his last bout against Bader at Bellator 290 in 2023 and again got knocked out in the first round.
