KeymasterJasprit Bumrah Now Has Most Five Wicket-Haul In ICC Test Championship
India’s pace ace Jasprit Bumrah added another feather to his cap by becoming the seam bowler with the most five-wicket hauls in ICC World Test Championship history, surpassing Australian captain Pat Cummins‘ tally of 10. The record-breaking moment came during the 1st innings of the 1st Test against England in Leeds on June 22.
Bumrah registered a brilliant 5 for 83, which was his 11th fifer in the competition, helping India bowl England out for 465 in response to the visitors’ 471. His scalps included two crucial blows: the ever-dangerous Joe Root, caught in the slip cordon for 28, and a well-set Ben Duckett, bowled on 62 with a searing delivery.
Despite Bumrah’s brilliance, India succumbed to a five-wicket defeat, but the Gujarat pacer’s feat shines as a historic milestone in the ongoing Test saga.
