Ravichandran Ashwin’s Highest Score In ODI
Veteran Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin’s highest score in the ODI is 65 off 46 balls during the 3rd ODI of India’s tour of New Zealand in Auckland. India was chasing a strong target of 315 runs in their allotted 50 overs. Their top and middle order did not deliver that day and batting at no 7, the bowling all-rounder from Chennai smacked eight 4s and 1 maximum at a staggering strike rate of 141.30. The visitors ended the game as a tie on the back of MS Dhoni, Ashwin, and Jadeja’s clutch knocks. Ashwin’s 65-run knock turned out to be crucial for India. It’s Ashwin’s only fifty in ODI cricket.
From 2011 to 2017, Ashwin was a regular member in India’s all three formats. He featured in 116 matches and came out to bat in 63 innings, scoring only 707 runs and taking 156 wickets. The ace spinner was part of the Indian team that won the 2013 Champions Trophy, taking 2/15 in the finals against England.
