Due to a lack of opportunity in India, he moved to the USA in 2015 and after completing his MS, the left-arm seamer began working at Oracle as a software engineer however, followed his passion of playing cricket thoroughly. The act of balancing profession and passion was tricky but he kept working hard on his game in the off time. His rigorous hard work and dedication helped him to make his USA debut in 2019 against the UAE, leading the visitors in the UAE.

Before the start of the T20 World Cup 2024, the USA faced a test-playing nation for the first time which was Bangladesh in a three-match T20 series in Dallas and Netravalkar played a huge role in winning the series for the hosts by 2-1, taking three wickets in two games and remained misery in his spells.
Saurabh Netravalkar became a hero during their 2nd group game against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024 in Dallas after defending 18 runs in the super over to propel the hosts to a monumental victory over the former champions. Earlier in the game, he returned with an impressive figure of 2/18 in four overs and did not let the experienced Pakistani batters score runs by hitting the right areas and using variations. He shattered the dreams of the Pakistanis having a positive start in the tournament which could later dent the chances of Pakistan getting into the Super Eight stage.
