Angel Di Maria is one of the best-attacking midfielders or wingers Argentina has ever produced. The veteran footballer made his senior international debut in 2008 against Paraguay. He scored his first international goal in a friendly match victory of Argentina over Ireland by 1-0. The Rosario-born player served the national team for 16 years including multiple mega events like the FIFA World Cup and Copa America. Featuring 145 matches for Argentina, De Maria netted 31 goals and provided 32 assists. He took part in four editions of the Fifa World Cup and six editions of Copa America, playing a pivotal role by scoring a goal in winning the 2022 Fifa World Cup final and 2021 Copa America final for Argentina against France and Brazil respectively.
