Anil Kumble’s Best Bowling Figure In IPL

Former Indian leg spinner Anil Kumble’s best bowling in the IPL came in the 2nd match of IPL 2009 between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals. Playing for RCB, the lanky spin wizard spun his web on Rajasthan batters while defending only 133 runs, taking 5/5 in 3.1 overs, including one maiden over. His victims included the likes of Yusuf Pathan, Ravindra Jadeja, Shane Warne, etc. Due to his incredible spell, RR was folded for a mere 58 runs, the 2nd lowest score in the IPL history, and RCB won the match by 75 runs.

The Karnataka leggie took part in IPL from 2008 to 2010 and spent all these years for his home team Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He had a fabulous outing at the marquee event with 45 wickets in 42 games in his name. He maintained a misery economy of 6.57, dictating the difficulty to score against him.
