Devdutt Padikkal Makes Test Debut For India
Karnataka batting prodigy Devdutt Padikkal makes his test debut for India in the 5th test of the 2024 England tour of India in Dharamshala on Wednesday. He became the 314th player to play test cricket for the Men in Blue.
Padikkal has replaced Rajat Patidar who sustained an ankle injury during training the day before the match. In his first-class career so far, the Southpaw has made 2227 runs in 31 matches, including 12 fifties and 6 centuries.
Devdutt is the 5th player to debut for India in this series after Sarfaraz Khan, Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurel, and Akashdeep.
