Ellyse Perry Recorded Best Bowling Figure In WPL
Premium Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry recorded the best bowling figure in WPL during the 19th group stage game against Mumbai Indians in the 2nd edition at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The tall seamer returned with a figure of 6/15 in her 4 overs, making her the first bowler to take a six-fer in the Women’s IPL
The game of RCB against Mumbai Indians was a must-win game and the experienced Aussie campaigner displayed a hostile spell to skittle through the robust MI batting lineup, claiming their opener S Sanjana to bowler Pooja Vastrakar’s wicket. Perry delivered when it mattered the most and due to her stupendous efforts, Mumbai Indians got folded for 113 runs and RCB chased down the score easily within 15 overs by 7 wickets, cementing their place in the eliminator. With the bat too, the World Cup-winning all-rounder scored 40 off 38 balls.
For her three-dimensional performance, Perry was given the Man of the Match award.
