Glenn Maxwell Hit Most T20I Centuries
Australian specialist batter of the shortest format Glenn Maxwell hit the joint most T20I centuries and it came in the 2nd game against the West Indies on their Australia tour of 2024. He also levelled Indian skipper Rohit Sharma’s tally of 5 hundred with this ton.
Aussies were batting first in the game and Maxwell went berserk on the visiting bowlers to bring up an exciting ton off just 50 balls and remained not out on 120 runs in 55 balls. The stalwart smacked 12 fours and 8 over boundaries in his excellent knock. Riding on his innings, Australia posted 241/4 after 20 overs on board. Maxwell is only one century away from getting the record for most hundreds in the T20 international.
Post Australia’s batting heroics, the bowlers did the rest and restricted Indies to 207/9 and registered a victory by 34 runs. Marcus Stoinis was the pick of the bowlers in the match with 3/36.
