KeymasterHardik Pandya Rules Out of ODI World Cup 2023
Star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya rules out of the remainder of the 2023 World Cup due to an ankle injury and fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has replaced him in the squad.
The right-arm hard hitter cum seamer sustained an injury on his left leg during India’s clash against Bangladesh in Pune while stopping a straight drive from Liton Das and was rushed to hospital for scans immediately. Hardik provided India with the balance the team required and took 5 wickets in 4 matches while scoring an unbeaten 11 getting an opportunity to bat against Australia.
With Hardik’s absence, skipper Rohit Sharma will not be able to spare a few overs quickly in their remaining matches and he will be missed dearly in the knockout stage for his ability to perform in clutch moments.

Karnataka Seamer Prasidh Krishna has been included in the squad in Hardik’s place. He has taken 29 scalps in 17 games for India in the 50-over format. His last appearance for the Blue Army came against the Australia series prior to the World Cup where he returned with the figures of 1/45 in 5 overs.
