ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Teams
For the first time ever, 20 teams will participate in an edition of a T20 World Cup. The 2024 T30 World Cup is all set to be played in the West Indies and the USA in next June.
Uganda has hogged the headlines recently by qualifying in their first-ever T20 World Cup after beating Rwanda by 2 wickets in the African qualifiers. Before that, they also defeated African heavyweight Zimbabwe by 5 wickets. This was Uganda’s maiden victory over a test-playing nation.
The other team that sealed their place in the African region is Namibia, they finished the qualifiers remaining unbeaten.
ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Teams Directly Qualified
The direct qualifying nations in the 2024 T20 World Cup are India, Australia, England, Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, West Indies, the USA, and the Netherlands.
ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Teams via American qualifiers
The team that made their place through American qualifiers is Canada. From Europe, Ireland and Scotland made it through. While from Asia, Nepal, and Oman locked a place. Papua New Guinea will participate in the marquee event solely from the East Asia Pacific region.
This time five teams will divide into 2 groups initially and then the top two from each group will qualify for the Super 8 stage. The quarter-final will see eight teams divided into two parts while the top two from each part make it to the semis.
