India vs Bangladesh Head To Head In Tests

India is one of the best sides across all formats of the game while Bangladesh has also improved and raised their standard of cricket abundantly in the last 6-7 years. India plays a major role in keeping test cricket alive in this world of T20 and entertainment cricket. Being India’s neighbor, Bangaldesh competes with India in other formats more than red-ball cricket. Notably, the skills of the Indian cricketers considering the nature of the format are superior to Bangladeshis. But at present, Bangladesh has shifted its focus on technique in bowling and batting to be a great cricket-playing nation.

India will host Bangladesh for two tests and three T20Is beginning on 19th September in Chennai. The second test will be played in Kanpur on 27th September.

The Asian heavyweights first met in tests in 2000 and India hammered them by nine wickets in Dhaka. The last encounter between the sides occurred in 2024 in Che3nnai and the Men in Blue again beat them with their masterful batting and bowling display led by Ashwin’s six fer.

The head-to-head stats between India and Bangladesh are one-sided. So far, they have faced each other in 14 games and India has won 12 out of them with two matches that have ended as a draw. Bangaldesh is yet to register a victory in the longest format of the game. it will be interesting to see if the Tigers can make history by recording their maiden test victory against the hosts in the upcoming series.
