      Kedar Jadhav Retirement : Bids Adieu To All Forms Of Cricket

      An attacking batsman cum a handy spinner from Pune, Kedar Jadhav bid adieu to all forms of cricket on Monday 3rd June 2024. He revealed his retirement through his “X” account in MS Dhoni‘s style stating- “Thank you all for your love and support throughout my career from 1500 hrs consider me as retired from all forms of cricket”.

      Kedar was last seen in the Indian jersey during India’s tour of New Zealand in an ODI in 2020 in Auckland. The Maharashtra middle-order batsman was also a part of the India team that lost the semi-final against New Zealand. In 73 ODIs, he amassed 1389 runs at an impressive average of 42.1 with 6 fifties and 2 centuries under his belt.

      From 2015 to 2017, he featured in 9 T20Is and made 122 runs at a decent strike rate of 123.2.

      In the Indian Premier League, Kedar played between 2010 and 2023 representing Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Chennai Super Kings, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, and Surisers Hyderabad after having a stint with Delhi Capitals. Having played 95 games, he mustered 1208 runs with the help of four 50s in the IPL. Moreover, Kedar contributed significantly to the CSK’s title run in 2018.

      Apart from his batting, the 39-year-old picked up 27 wickets in ODIs with his unorthodox off-spin bowling. During the IPL 2024, he was seen doing Marathi commentary and he will likely be seen in the commentary panel regularly after drawing curtains on his career on the field.
