      Lowest Total In IPL History

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) hold the record for the lowest total in IPL history, a dubious feat achieved in the 2017 season against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens. Chasing a modest target of 132, RCB’s star-studded lineup faltered against KKR’s seam attack, led by Colin de Grandhomme’s extraordinary figures of 3/4. Supported by Chris Woakes and Nathan Coulter-Nile, who picked up three wickets each, RCB was bundled out for just 49 runs.

The second-lowest total in IPL history occurred in the 2009 edition, where RCB was on the winning side. Playing in Cape Town, Bengaluru successfully defended 134 by bowling out the Rajasthan Royals for a mere 58 runs. Anil Kumble’s magical spell of 5/5 dismantled Rajasthan’s batting order, securing a commanding 75-run victory.

Rajasthan Royals feature again on this list for their collapse in 2023 against the same opponents, RCB. Batting first in Jaipur, RCB set a competitive total of 171/5. Their bowlers then dominated Rajasthan, skittling them for just 59 runs in 10.3 overs. Wayne Parnell led the attack with figures of 3/10, ensuring another emphatic win for Bengaluru.
