      Most Five Wicket Hauls In Test

      The highest wicket-taker across formats Muttiah Muralitharan claimed the most five-wicket hauls in tests. With his impeccable spin bowling laced with variations, the Lankan maestro picked up 800 wickets in 133 matches, including a staggering 67 fifers.

      During the 1st test of the Bangladesh tour of India 2024, Indian spin wizard Ravichandran Ashwin clinched his 37th fifer in Chennai and leveled with legendary leggie Shane Warne. Ashwin now has 522 scalps to his name in only 101 appearances. His skillset with the red cherry is unparalleled.

      Late Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne picked up 37 fifers in the longer format, the 3rd most five-wicket hauls in the test. From 1992 to 2007, the ace spinner bagged 708 wickets which came at an impressive average of 25.41. Warne’s variations were breathtaking and it deceived all the great batters in the world.
