Former Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene has smashed the most fours in the T20 World Cup. He hit 111 fours in 31 matches with 1016 runs to his name, including 25 sixes. Jayawardene was a part of the Sri Lankan team which won the 2014 T20 World Cup.
One of the greatest batsmen of all time, Virat Kohli has hit the second-most fours with 103 fours in 27 matches. The Delhi-born batsman has amassed 1141 runs at a staggering average of 81.50. Kohli has been the highest run-getter in the event twice (2014 and 2022).
Another Srilankan player who is on the elite list of most fours in the T20 World Cup. Having featured in 35 games, Dilshan hammered 101 fours from 2007 to 2016 and scored 897 runs.
