Most Runs For RCB In IPL
Royal Challengers Bangalore is one of the most unluckiest and inconsistent franchises in the history of IPL. Former team India captain Virat Kohli has made the most runs for RCB in the IPL. He has appeared in 251 games and scored 7971 runs at a healthy average of 38.69. Kohli has been consistent throughout the 17 seasons for the Red Army. In the 2016 season, RCB made it to the finals on the back of Kohli’s outrageous performance, scoring 973 runs in 16 outings, the most by a batter in an edition of IPL. However, his efforts went in vain, as RCB lost to SRH in the finals.
One of the greatest players of all time, AB De Villiers amassed 4522 runs in 157 games, the 2nd most runs for RCB in IPL. Haile as “MR.360”, he bragged a dashing strike rate of 158.33. The Proteas legend hit 37 fifties and two 100s in the event.
The Caribbean legend Chris Gayle has been a long-serving member of Bengaluru. The Southpaw batted explosively for the franchise and notched up the third most runs for them in IPL with 3420 runs in 91 matches at a staggering strike rate of 154.50. His 175* off 66 deliveries against Pune in 2013 is the highest individual score in the T20 format for 11 years now.
