Rishabh Pant’s Runs In T20 World Cup 2024

Swashbuckling wicket-keeper batsman, Rishabh Pant played as the frontline wicket-keeper for India in the T20 World Cup 2024. He featured in all eight games and creamed 171 runs at a satisfying strike rate of 127.61. The Dynite Southpaw batted at the top order and did not score a single fifty, however, he played a few small cameos that were impactful in the mega event. His highest score of 42 off 31 balls came in a low-scoring thriller against Pakistan in New York, which later helped India to win the game by 6 runs. In addition to his tally, Pant smashed 19 fours and 6 sixes in the whole tournament.

Apart from the group games, he scored 20 off 11 against Afghanistan, and 36 off 24 balls against Bangladesh in the Super Eight stage. Pant followed the instruction given by the management firmly, attacking the bowlers upon stepping up the field and accelerating the pace of runs to put India ahead in the game. Apart from that, Pant was outstanding behind the stumps with the gloves also, taking almost all catches and barely making a misfield.
