Nitish Reddy who had a superb IPL 2024 as an all-rounder and, Tushar Deshpande who impressed the selectors with his knack for taking wickets with the new ball have also paved their way to the team.

All the big names like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, etc have been rested for the series as they will be tired after a long T20 World Cup. However, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Ishan Kishan have missed out on a spot in the side despite being the main guys in their respective IPL franchises. The BCCI is likely to find some more talents instead of them for their roadmap in the future.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh, and Sanju Samson who are traveling with the T20 World Cup team are also present in the unit. Dhruv Jurel who proved his caliber in the last England test series is the second wicket-keeper to be picked in the team.

The other pacers to feature in the series are Avesh Khan, Khaleel Ahmed, and Mukesh Kumar whereas Washington Sundar and Ravi Bishnoi will be the frontline spinners in the tour.
