Suresh Raina is surely one of the top five IPL players of all time. The Uttar Pradesh boy had an illustrious career of 14 years in the Indian Premier League between 2008 and 2021. He began his career with CSK in 2008 and played for them till 2015. After CSK’s management members got involved in a match-fixing scandal for two years, Raina captained the newly added Gujarat Lions till 2017. Then again he joined CSK after their comeback in 2018 and was a part of them for another 4 years till 2021.

Raina was a significant part of the Chennai-based franchise. His attacking style of batting and playing crucial knocks for his team to make them win made a name in the marquee event. From fast bowlers to spinners, the Southpaw scored runs against all. Especially, the inside-out shot and dancing down the ground for a six were his signature shots. Featuring 205 runs, the World Cup winner amassed 5528 runs at a fascinating strike rate of 136.28, including 39 fifties and 1 century.

The former all-rounder of the Indian team lifted four trophies with CSK in 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021. One knock that will always remain special for him would be the fluent 57* off 35 balls against Mumbai Indians in the 2010 IPL finals which helped CSK to clinch their first title.
