WPL Auction 2024 Time and Date
The auction for the 2nd edition of the Tata Women’s Premier League or WPL is in readiness to start on the 9th of December in Mumbai from 2.30 PM. The desired tournament will take place in the upcoming February or March.

A pool of 165 players, consisting of 104 Indians and 61 foreign players will participate in the 2024 WPL auction from all five franchises. Currently, the teams in the Women’s Premier League are Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals. Royal Challengers Bangalore, UP Warriorz, and Gujarat Giants.
The first installment of the WPL was lifted by Mumbai Indias after they beat Delhi Capitals by 7 wickets at Braborne stadium.
Indian star batter Smriti Mandhana was the costliest player in the 2023 WPL auction, RCB bought her for a whooping INR 3.4 cr. While among overseas players, Aussie all-rounder Ashleigh Gardener got the highest bid of INR 3.2 cr from Gujarat Giants.
