Chennai Super Kings Squad For IPL 2025

Chennai Super Kings built their 25-member squad for the IPL 2025 analytically during the mega IPL auction on November 24th and 25th in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. They have fabricated a mix of experienced and talented young players intending to win their sixth title in the T20 extravaganza. Before the auction, the five-time champions secured their core group of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, Matheesha Pathirana, Shivam Dube, and uncapped MS Dhoni for INR 65 cr.

Bringing back veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin after 10 long years for INR 9.75 cr was the highlight of this mega auction for CSK. The dynamic duo of Jadeja and Ashwin and the addition of young wizard Noor Ahmed in the spin unit who they bought for INR 10 cr would be lethal for any team facing them at their den.

The Yellow Army managed to get back their in-form Kiwi players Devon Conway (6.25 cr) and Rachind Ravindra (4 cr) for a decent amount after a handful of bidding wars in the auction.

They showed their faith in some proficient Indian players who have been a part of this T20 tournament for a while now like Rahul Tripathi, Deepak Hooda, Khaleel Ahmed, Vijay Shankar, etc.

Sam Curran has also reunited with the Kings having won the title with them in 2021. He will offer his services for INR 2.40 cr.

Another exciting all-rounder who recently bagged all ten wickets in a Ranji game, Haryana’s Anshul Kamboj was roped into the team after getting the highest bid of INR 3.40 cr. Kamboj played for Mumbai Indians in 2024 and took wickets in three games.

Overall, CSK has eight overseas players and 18 Indian players in their team.
