Pakistan Hammered Australia In Adelaide, Haris Rauf Starred With The Ball

Pakistan cricket team hammered Australia at the Adelaide Oval by nine wickets as express seamer Haris Rauf starred with the ball, taking 5/29 in his eight-over spell to help the visitors bundle the Aussies for a paltry 163. It’s also their first victory in Australia since their Melbourne triumph in 2017.

Winning the toss, skipper MD Rizwan invited Australia to bat first and Shaheen Afridi drew the first blood in the third over by getting McGurk plumb in front of the wicket. Chasing a small target but against a lineup consisting of Starc, Hazlewood, and Cummins, Pakistani openers Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique began strongly and bashed Australia all over the park to fabricate a 137 run partnership before Ayub got dismissed for 82 off just 71 balls to Zampa. Ayub smashed six 6s and five 4s in his explosive innings, including a stunning six with a flick against Starc. Shafique remained not out on 64* off 69 balls where he hit 4 fours and three sixes, aiding Pakistan to go past the score within 26.3 overs.

Haris Rauf bagged the MoM award for his destructive fifer and Pakistan has now leveled the series by 1-1.
