Shivam Dube’s T20 World Cup 2024 Runs

Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Shivam Dube represented India in his first T20 World Cup in 2024 and ended up winning it with the team. Dube’s selection came into criticism after he was preferred over Rinku Singh for his excellent IPL performance. Still, skipper Rohit Sharma backed him during his struggles in the group-stage matches and the Southpaw repaid the management with some quick cameos in the Super 8 games and the final game. Overall, He scored 133 runs in 8 outings at a decent average of 22.16.

His highest score was 34 which he made against Bangaldesh in just 24 balls, however, Dube’s most impactful innings emerged in the finals against South Africa, contributing with a crucial 27 off 16 balls with the aid of three 4s and one 6, taking India to a safe total of 176/7 after 20 overs.

Skipper Rohit Sharma gave Shivam Dube a specific role to bash the bowlers in the middle and death overs and he stuck by it till the end of the event. His intent was clear upon taking the guard and certainly, he did not disappoint the team and the fans.
